° Flare Star °

• FLARE STAR: EXPLAINED
Flare Star is a powerful Lost Action applying a 60s DoT with a 350 potency to all nearby enemies. It costs 9000 MPs.
Its DoT is unique, meaning it cannot be stacked by multiple players. Therefore, only one Flare Star per run can be designated: they will always be the BLM in party A.
• FLARE STAR: HOW TO?
You will need a Black Mage lvl 80+. Flare Star is usually applied during Ice Phase due to its MPs cost.
Opener:

Ether proc?
Your Ether kit will "proc" each time your MPs go below 2000, giving you back 3000 MPs (for a total of 5000). This is how you will keep the Font of Magic buff after using Flare Star, but you can also use it to your advantage if your luck makes it proc multiple times by chaining Despair casts.

Alternatives?
There are two alternatives to this opener to make the most of the Lost Flare Star DoT:
1. No Excellence: You can end your opener with a final Lost Flare Star before the Font of Magic buff expires, to have more Flare Star uptime with the Font buff.
2. Excellence: You can end your opener the same way as the 1st alternative, but also do a 3rd, final Flare Star with the Excellence buff on before it expires.

Every 60s:
- Re-apply Flare Star so it doesn't fall off your target.

Every 120s:
- Prepare by using an Ether kit or at least Lucid dreaming if you can't use an Ether kit.
- Start over from Opener's "Pull" step. Pairing every 120s application with Font of Magic is crucial.
- You can end every 120s with a final Lost Flare Star before the Font of Magic buff expires, to have more Flare Star uptime with the Font buff.

° Arise Healer °

• ARISE HEALER: WHY?
Arise is a Lost Action used by healers. It has a 10% chance per cast to raise your target if you have a Pure Essence of the Divine. An Arise healer chooses to be full support.
Using Arise during combat can change the course of a fight: people getting back up are more buffs and damage overall. Plus, no one likes to stay on the floor for a whole fight, and it's also a great way for first timers to experience more of DRS! However, it's totally optional to do so if you feel it would put your life at risk. Bringing lots of arises already helps tremendously!• ARISE HEALER: HOW TO?
You will need a healer lvl 80+. This just requires you to fill your holster with as many Arises as you are comfortable taking, and use some of them while in combat if you can.

• ARISE HEALER: FARM?
If you need to farm fragments, form a coordinated group with the below setup:
- 1 Tank: Breathtaker Essence, lots of Resistance Potion Kits (autopots, careful to always keep one up), Paralyze III + Assassination OR Impetus.
- X Physicals: Beast Essence, Assassination + Impetus OR Protect II.
Farm Zadnor Wivre mobs from Zadnor Zone 3 using Assassination (only works from behind).

You can also ask others for fragments if you don't have time to farm. Most veterans will happily give their fragments if it means a healer will have more Arises to use during progs!⚠️ Be careful about Lost Arise:
- Don't "overuse" it and use all your charges on a single fight. Try to keep some for each fight. You shouldn't be the only one using resources!
- Don't raise anyone if the fight is close to LB3, or during dangerous phases (e.g. Trinity Avowed Staff phase).
- Try to warn people beforehand that you may raise during fights, so they do not go AFK. Many are not used to getting back up while combat is still going.

° Blood rage °

• BLOOD RAGE: EXPLAINED
Blood Rage is a Lost Action which will give you stacks each time you use a dash. At 4 stacks, you will be given a buff shortening the recast times of your abilities by 75%.
Hence, you will have to hold your entire rotation, up until you get this buff.
NB: This buff does not work on weaponskills! Sorry, GNBs...
• BLOOD RAGE: HOW TO?
You will need a tank lvl 80+. Here, we will take a DRK as this is the one with the most OGCDs and therefore, the most complicated rotation (but also the one making the most use of BR).

Next 60s:
- Re-use your 60s rotation normally.

Next 120s:
- Hold your cooldowns for your next Blood Rage window.

Next 180s:
- Start again, from the "Pull" step (ignoring Unmend).

(⚠️ Careful: adapt it whether BR is on your Duty Action I or II)

° Excellence °

• EXCELLENCE: EXPLAINED
Lost Excellence is a powerful lost action increasing damage dealt by 65% for 60s.
However, it is also quite heavy to carry, its weight being 25.
• EXCELLENCE: HOW TO?
You will need a dps lvl 80+. Different configurations should be used based on the one you will play.
You will use Lost Excellence immediately at the start of a fight, like you would use a tincture. Then, you will replace it by the previous slotted action you had before.

Holsters and further explanations on how to: LINK.

Due to its weight, there can be up to 2 Physical DPS and 2 Magical DPS who can volunteer to carry Lost Excellence for the others, for Trinity Avowed and The Queen.
They will equip a Font (of Power or Magic depending on the job), and a Lost Excellence.
Other players will use the lost action Lost Mimic on them, copying their actions with full charges.
Lost Mimic is lighter (12 weight), and can replace your Font while giving you Excellence, making it a significant gain for both your DPS and your holster weight.
